Purple Corn Extract Powder, Purple Corn Drink

Purple corn is a variety of maize, Zea Mays (botanical name), a crop native to the valleys of the Andes mountains in South America. In Peru it is traditionally made into a sweet beer known as "chicha morado". Because of its pigmenting anthocyanin content, purple corn has been traditionally used in Peru as a natural colorant for local beverages and foods.
